South Carolina here we Come!

September 17th we woke up early and drove to Orlando International Airport for the next leg of our exciting Fall trip.
This part was a bit of a challenge since we had 2 car seats, four pieces of checked luggage, 3 carry-ons, a double stroller, two active little ones, and only one Mommy.
Luckily, Gramm hooked us up with curb-side check in.
We made it through security with no trouble at all and had tons of time to spare.
The girls watched the planes taxi in and out of the surrounding gates to pass the time.

We had an uneventful, short flight to Asheville.
Kennedy took a nice little nap and Madison played quietly.
Grandpa met us at baggage to help claim our bundles of luggage.
After loading the car and installing the car seats we piled in and were off to lunch.

Grandma and Grandpa have a nice big car so Mommy had room to sit between the girls in the back seat.

Our lunch stop was one of Mommy's favorites- Cracker Barrel!
Madison found a horsie to ride around the shop before we were seated.

Great fun!

For those of you not familiar with the fabulous Cracker Barrel- they are pretty famous for their rocking chairs. These chairs line the front porch of the restaurant/shop and provide a great place to hang out if you have a long wait for your meal.
Now you can get one of their awesome rocking chairs in your favorite college team colors. Well, that is if you live in area of your favorite team and if that area has a Cracker Barrel.
Since we flew into North Carolina, Kennedy got to rock in a Carolina Blue chair.

Needless to say- she thought it was great!

I love how it brings out those gorgeous baby blues!
After lunch we drove to Grandma and Grandpa's house and began exploring.

First stop- the back deck.
The girls quickly made themselves at home- climbing in, on, and UNDER everything.

When Grandma and Grandpa moved from Massachusetts to South Carolina this was the first furniture they bought while they waited for all their belongings to arrive.

Madison is covered in green happy face stamps in this photo.
While Mommy worked on unpacking some of our clothes, Grandpa introduced Madison to the cool trike they got for her.

It even had a basket on the front for the Barbie she found in her room.

Although she was a bit lazy with her pedaling, she loved her new wheels!

Later Madison showed Grandma and Grandpa some of the dress up clothes we brought to play with.

Mommy was thrilled Grandma and Grandpa found a super high chair to make mealtimes much easier for Kennedy!

It was a great first day at Grandma and Grandpa's new house in South Carolina.
