Gramm had to work- school doesn't stop for our visits, unfortunately.
Madison and Kennedy got plenty of play time in with Pop though.
He had foot surgery over the summer and was still home recovering.
Pop can't get around very fast with a boot on his foot, so he spent lots of time sitting on floor with the girls.
Thursday night after dinner Uncle Daniel and Aunt Abby came to Gramm and Pop's house to play a little before bath and bed time.
After Mommy put Kennedy to bed
Pop read a book to Madison
It didn't take long for her to pass out.
Pop read several pages before he even realized she was asleep.
Gramm and Mommy think he was reading Finding Nemo for himself to find out how it ends.
Friday was much the same as Thursday.
Play time with Pop.
Madison insisted on wearing her new Sleeping Beauty dress from Gramm and Pop all day.
Kennedy found her own 'dress up' to play with
She spotted the dog's choke collar on the stairs on our way down first thing in the morning and decided it would make a lovely necklace.
After we managed to get the dog collar away and get dressed for the day, Kennedy decided to check out one of the dog's kennels.
She climbed in,
sat down
and let Madison close the door on her.
then climbed back out
and back in
and waited for the door to close again.
Friday evening was a home game for Mommy's high school football team, the Osceola Kowboys.
As is tradition every Friday before a home game- Gramm and Pop had dinner at the best bar-b-que place around- Fat Boys!
Mommy and the girls Met Gramm and Pop for dinner, but not before going to the school earlier in the day to drop Pop off for practice (he's the girls' golf coach) and visit with Gramm.
It was a rainy evening with LOTS of mosquitos so the girls headed back to Gramm and Pops for a nice quiet evening at home while Gramm and Pop weathered the game and the rain.
Saturday was football day!
First day of the college football season and a huge opener for Georgia.
9th ranked Oklahoma State AT Stillwater.
Kennedy enjoyed her view of the game from Pop's shoulders.
Kennedy enjoyed her view of the game from Pop's shoulders.
Pop even donned his red and black for Georgia.
Unfortunately, all the red and black in the world couldn't have helped our dawgs keep a 'w' in their season opener column.
After the game, Kennedy enjoyed prancing around downstairs in her sister's sparkly shoes.
