Phenominal Weather

Last Friday our friends Kaylie and Lyndsey came over after school.
Luckily Kennedy got down for her nap before Kaylie arrived- Kennedy loves to play with the big girls but doesn't function well without a nap....actually, neither of the girls function well without a nap, but we were taking a risk today.
They ran around, played dress up, had snacks, watched a movie, while Mommy and Miss Lyndsey worked on craft projects. Lyndsey is almost finished with her family rules and is so excited to see the end result of this labor of love! We started our canvas project at the same time, but Mommy put hers on the back burner and pursued other exciting projects instead. Seeing Lyndsey's come so far is bringing back to itch to finish ours!
When our play time was over with friends, we went outside to wait for Daddy to get home.
First the girls climbed on the ladder, which they have figured out is not a shelf but a cool swing set/play structure!

Now if only the missing/broken replacement parts would get here so we can finish it and move it outside! ARRRGGG.
Climbing up and down got old quick, since all the remaining hardware is stored on the platform it isn't much fun right now....so Madison decided spinning in the wind was a good back up plan.

Looked like fun

so Kennedy stopped running (this shot cracks me up!)

and joined in.

After spinning, Madison's trike sounded good, so she took off to the garage to get it

while Kennedy ran up and down the driveway

like a wild woman

Can you believe how gorgeous our sky was?
The wind blew all the clouds away leaving nothing but incredible clear beauty!

Driveway play continued

Until Kennedy crashed

she was unscathed, but decided not to run anymore.
Madison kept pedaling her trike, which looks so tiny now!

She pedaled in circles, looking back to try and see the wind blowing her dress

As usual, all play ceased when we located a few roly friends

Both girls used blades of grass to coherse their little friends into their hands

"See-I got him!"

Kennedy did, too

Look how her wisps fly in the breeze!

She was so determined to keep this bug in her hands

Madison gave up and took up a patch of cool concrete next to Mommy

After a second of rest she was back up making a bridge for her roly poly

Meanwhile, Kennedy took possession of the trike

Which Madison didn't seem to mind.

The cool wind drove us inside to wash up and eat dinner, but oh what a gorgeous way to start our weekend!
*Note: sometimes I do color correct and slightly alter our photos to fix operator errors. These pics- pure magic on their own. I didn't touch the color. That magnificent blue was in the sky!*
