Boots, Slides, and Building Swings

Day two of the new play set outside and the girls couldn't wait to wake up and get out there.
We spent the morning inside cleaning and playing, ate some lunch, got the girls down for much needed naps, then on with the boots and out with the girls.

Straight to the ladder to climb

Unfortunately, a full nap Madison did not get. Hence the pouting

Eventually she did go down the slide and the cycle continued.
Up the ladder, down the slide.
We keep the rain boots by the back door now since the girls find it impossible to play outside without them.

They do love sliding together best.

Daddy sends us a text message as he is leaving work. Today's message came shortly after we tromped outside to play. So, back in we tromped with a promise dinner would be served outside on the new picnic table tonight. See, Daddy was home by 5:15 pm tonight. Unheard of!
So by 5:45pm we were finished with dinner, cleaned up and back outside.
See, the replacement brackets for the swing support finally arrived today!

And so- with the sun setting behind the barn and the large harvest moon on the rise the final assembly began

and came to an end with happy girls!
The glider was first on the 'try me' list.

(Did I mention ALL the girls wore their rain boots today?)

Kennedy quickly moved to a swing and insisted Mommy sit next to her.

Can you see the excitement on their faces?

They love their swings!

Well, Kennedy does. It was impossible to peel Madison off her glider.

Thank you Gramm, Pop, Uncle Matt, Grandma and Grandpa- the girls LOVE their birthday swing set!
