Labor Day-Sunday

*warning- super photo heavy post*
Labor Day weekend.
Three days in a row with Mommy and Daddy home.
Saturday, Daddy slept in until the girls woke him up at 9am for the game.
Sunday was Mommy's turn. Our original plan was to try out the 9:00am service at a new church...well, new to us.
Unfortunately, Waking up at 8:30am and living 30 minutes from town presents a bit of a problem.
Instead we used the morning for some quality family time.
Daddy settled into the hammock, Mommy grabbed the camera, her coffee, and enjoyed a little down time, while the girls played in their sandbox.

Madison found a bug, and had to dig it out for Kennedy.

Then the Kennedy faces began.

The faces that make us laugh

she is going to be a crabby teenager

After her small fit, she asked Daddy, 'U want pay socca ball?'

He took her up on her offer, and taught her to kick the ball.

so she did...

she was a ROCKSTAR kicker

she even dribbled the ball across the yard

seriously, it was impressive

remember she just turned 2!

even she couldn't contain her excitement

Madison tried to join in on the fun. She missed 3 out of 4 times.

it was still pretty cute. she's such a prissy girl.

Daddy couldn't stop smiling at his girls

had enough of Kennedy dribbling the ball?
Scroll through these next pics fast, like a flip book.
Incredible.

All that kicking must have worn her out.
When Mommy decided their little cheeks were pink enough, the girls returned to the sandbox

Madison made mounds of sand and put 'flags' in them to make sand castles.
Kennedy was so exhausted she just sat there starring.

We scooped up the tired one (and her big sister), dusted off the sand, made some quick lunch, and put the girls down for naps. Daddy watched a movie, and Mommy got to run errands by herself. It was a lovely Labor Day Sunday.
