After naps today, Madison asked for her red hat....then her green hat, then Kennedy wanted her pink hat...which meant purple.
Then Madison asked if she could color with markers.
It all sounded good to me...
While they colored and stamped with light up Hello Kitty stamps, I made their dinner.
Madison decided markers were not as fun as she thought and asked if she could watch, 'Pocadahontas, please'. Can I just tell you- we hope she never figures out the correct way to say this Indian Princess's name. We love 'Poca-da-hontas'.
Since she asked so nicely, they got to watch the movie for a few minutes.
Kennedy wanted to stay in the kitchen and hang out with Mommy.
At one point she said, 'Wuk Mommy, I'n a doggy- in da house!'
So silly.
Tonight a picnic sounded fun.
I rearranged the living room furniture, set the girls up on their splat mat, plated their white peaches, pepperoni french bread pizza, corn, and chocolate milk, and sat down to supervise.
Before long Kennedy was crawling around, pretending to be a dog again...Madison egging her on. Needless to say, picnic not such a great idea.
After bath, Daddy got back from his annual Religious experience, ready to give the girls a little education. The girls are both very interested in all the bugs and animals we see in the desert. They love stomping bugs and seeing Daddy's 'sleeping' mice in the garage traps (we live in the desert- this is not unusual- tons of field mice!), so Mommy and Daddy thought they might be interested in seeing Daddy's 'sleeping' birds, too.
Madison took one look and said, 'They are DEAD!', very matter of fact.
Kennedy just wanted to pet them....which we put the nix on!
When the girls went to bed, Daddy 'de-breasted' the birds and Mommy got an education...much more than she wanted. Thankfully, Daddy only goes one day a year.
