Day 2: Madison's Potty training Adventure

First- I KNOW I am behind on holiday updates. I promise...they are coming.
Now, several months ago Mommy brought home a big girl potty. We didn't push the potty training as the pediatrician (and everything we read) said to wait until after Miss Kennedy's arrival. Mommy decided Madison stays dry for long, long periods of the day (including her naps) so there is no reason to keep buying diapers for 2 babies.
Santa helped this process by bringing big girl panties in Madison's stocking. She wore them one night when Gramm and Pop were here just after Christmas but was too enamored with her new Sleeping Beauty movie and not interested enough in stopping the panties from getting wet with 'pee pee'. New Year's Eve at Noah's house helped Mommy get up the nerve to get this party started. After a few trips to the potty at home, she spent all night running to the potty with Noah (who is on day 8 or 9 or some big number in his potty training) to the potty and taking turns going 'pee pee'. She kept her diaper dry all day and night.
Yesterday was Day 1 of the 'How to potty train in 3 day' method. No diapers, only big girl panties. Mommy thought she would loose her mind as Madison appeared to have 'accidents' on purpose. After reading another online book Angie printed for me today I have a better appreciation of the struggles Madison is going thru with this new venture.
Day 2 started out WORSE with more accidents than yesterday. Miss Angie came over between errands and helped with the potty excitement. She asked Madison to please call her and let her know whenever she potties like a big girl. The excitment around her call to Angie coupled with Mommy's 25 minute 'potty time' timer seemed to do the trick. Angie even came back with a special present for the big potty girl Madison just before her nap. Madison was so excited to open her brand new pack of big girl panties she wanted to take them with her to bed at naptime.
No accidents tonight and she even managed to go POOPY in the POTTY!! (Note the excitement!) Currently Madison and Daddy are having a panty fight in the living room. She seems to love the panties.
Let's hope she keeps them dry again tomorrow. Sticking with diapers overnight for now.
