We started the day at the first Shamu show of the morning.
Both girls were in great moods when we got to the park.
Something happened when we walked in the stadium and Madison was not herself.
Her nose started running, her eyes were watery and she was crying.
Kennedy squealed with excitement
as all the killer whales jumped and splashed the lower half of the stadium.
Madison was not interested...which was bothersome because she was SO excited about seeing Shamu all week.
After the show we went to the kids play area and found a fishy/underwater merry go round.
There was no line so Madison rode it 4 times in a row.
Kennedy stayed busy
with Mommy
and her sunglasses
Until it was her turn to ride with her big sister.
Then we went to the water area,
***(Did I mention Uncle Daniel put tattoos on both Madison's arms during her little slumber party? Yeah, they took forever to wear/scrub off)
which Madison thought was great fun with Gramm.
Pop thought it was funny to take pictures of Mommy taking a picture of Madison (what a cute ponytail Mommy has. tee hee)
After a quick dry clothing change for Madison, Pop stayed with a sleeping Kennedy
and the stroller, while Gramm and Madison went to ride on the swirly ride
(I don't remember the official name-think tea pots at disney but up in the air- and Madison was not interested in twirling).
Madison was back to her happy self, so off to lunch where Madison got a special Shamu lunch box and kid cup with straw. Great souvenier. (she's still playing with it almost every day now)
After lunch we headed to the other side of the park to see more animals.
Gramm, Madison, and Pop went in to check out the penguins while Kennedy
(who managed to fall back asleep-this time for a long nap) and Mommy strolled around.
Next was the dolphin show.
Since Kennedy was asleep when we got there, we got to go to the top handicap/sleeping baby section with great seats and plenty of room.
Madison made herself comfy before the show started.
Then ended up in Mommy's arms...actually back.
We made our way back to Shamu stadium after the show to see the underwater viewing tank.
That was easily Madison's favorite part of the day.
She loved holding her shamu Gramm got for her and watching the big Shamus swim by.
Huge change from first thing in the morning!
Gramm left to meet some friends for dinner so we said goodbye
(silly girls)
and spent the rest of the afternoon with Pop back and forth between the underwater viewing for killer whales
and the kids area
and even took some time to make music.
Kennedy kicked back in the stroller and playe with her baby wipes.
We wrapped up the day at the Dolphin Nursery
and Pop piggie backed Madison out of the park.
Madison was so exhausted she crashed on the way home (around 5:30pm) as did Miss Kennedy.
Both girls had a great day and behaved wonderfully considering we basically skipped naptime.
